Traditional course attendance is compulsory for all courses except graduation projects in the Faculty of Communication. Various other training methods are also used, depending on the course and the instructor. The use of different educational methods also aims to increase the interest of students. Traditional classroom work is an essential way to provide basic knowledge in any subject. Therefore, attendance is expected to be at least 75% for all courses.

The problem solving sections of knowledge-based courses are integrated with the theory sections. On computers, which are mainly used in Web Programming courses, the application observes the results of the written code on the screen. Reading a new article on the subject of the course and presenting its foundations is another way to engage students in current issues.

The distance education system (Moodle-Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment-, elearning.gau.edu.tr), which is a web-based platform, has been used as a course support system since 2007. This system offers many different opportunities in education. Announcing course events and sharing electronic materials are typical uses of the system. This system is a platform where students can be more active than traditional classroom work and is an additional option for students to discuss course-specific topics with their instructors and colleagues.
